That will dishearten Juan somewhat.#TD2# Fadden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Juan to score an easy takedown into full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Juan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fadden is keeping the position for now. Fadden looking to sweep here. No luck so far. #T3# Juan stops Fadden from standing up. Juan is pushing down on Fadden's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fadden is fighting to maintain full guard but Juan has managed to sneak the leg through. Fadden is staying active underneath Juan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Juan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Fadden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Juan on the ground. Fadden is in all sorts of trouble here.
Juan wants to control the pace but Fadden is squirming around nicely. #SUB2# Juan throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Fadden has his hands clasped together but Juan breaks the hold and Fadden is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Juan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sean Juan! Sean Juan managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, Sun-Tzu, into his post fight interview.
