Mewes avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Mewes lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Redbeard throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mewes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Some wild striking there from Redbeard.

Mewes throws out a counter right but Redbeard avoids it with no problem. A swing and a miss from Redbeard. Mewes throws a counter combo. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mewes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've been hearing reports that Mewes has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Mewes slips under a jab. Mewes shoots in looking for a takedown but Machine manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mewes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mewes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Mewes throws a nice looking combination but Machine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Machine throws a head kick that misses. Mewes looks to land a combination but Machine avoids it well. Mewes lands a lovely overhand right. Mewes slips a jab and a cross from Machine.

Chuck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mewes circles away quickly and effectively. Mewes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mewes there as he acknowledges the shot. Nice body kick there by Chuck. Chuck has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Chuck fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mewes. Chuck lands a front kick. Mewes looks for the body kick but Chuck saw that one coming. Chuck swings widly with a right hand
