Polo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Franchise's head. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Polo. Polo tries for a takedown but Franchise circles away easily and Polo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Franchise misses with a jab, cross combination.
Franchise digs a good body shot into Polo's ribs. Polo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

McGregor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Polo tries a head kick but it misses.
McGregor was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. McGregor swings for the body but Polo moves out of range.
Polo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. McGregor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Polo wants to counter with a clinch but McGregor pushes him away. McGregor jabs at Polo's body. McGregor avoids the body shot from Polo.

Yusuke has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Polo gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Yusuke points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Polo wakes up just in time to hear Yusuke thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

McVaughn catches Polo right on the button with a cross. McVaughn throws a lazy right hand but Polo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McVaughn misses with a straight left. Gregory McVaughn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2# Polo clinches up against the cage. Polo avoids the elbow strike from McVaughn, against the cage.

We've been informed that Polo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Polo tries for a takedown but Lefleaur circles away easily and Lefleaur counters with a straight right hand. Polo throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Lefleaur counters with a nice uppercut. Marco Polo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Polo walks into a left hand. Polo avoids the head kick by Lefleaur.

Mera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mera throws out a loose jab but Polo uses good head movement to avoid it. Polo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Polo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mera defends well and Polo ends up having to push Mera into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Polo tries to clinch there but Mera circles away.

Polo wants to control from the top but Mera keeps moving. Mera looking for a sweep. Not yet Mera, not yet. Polo tries to free his leg and advance position but Mera is retaining full guard.
