Simpson is fighting to break McCracken's control of his arms but McCracken is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Simpson preventing the sweep. Simpson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McCracken's guard. Simpson passes into side control, despite McCracken's attempt to control the position.
Simpson wants to control but McCracken is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Simpson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McCracken is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. An elbow from Simpson crashes against the mat.

Jackson trying to control the position but instead, Simpson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jackson into the cage. Simpson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

And Simpson tries to counter it with a takedown but Jackson pushes his down on his head and steps out. Simpson attempts a counter takedown but Kvasov avoids it well and moves away. Roman Kvasov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kvasov clobbers Simpson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. #KD2# Kvasov lands a big head kick that sends Simpson tumbling to the mat! Kvasov takes a step backwards and waves Simpson back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2# Simpson is rocked! Simpson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kvasov fails to land with a series of punches.
