Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Phil Brooks and Sergio Diaz. Diaz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gasolina kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Phil Brooks has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Phil Brooks seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Phil Brooks! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Sergio Diaz! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Diaz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brooks manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Diaz pulls Brooks in to control the position. Our spies down at at Gorilla Warfare MMA inform us that Diaz has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? #SUB# Azhiev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brooks pulls his head out easily. #SUB# Azhiev looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Brooks tries to pass the half guard into mount. Azhiev knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Azhiev is in trouble now - Brooks has advanced to mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Azhiev is trying desperately to improve position. Brooks wants to take his opponent's back but Azhiev doesn't allow it. Brooks moves to take his opponent's back. #T1##SUB2# Brooks is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Azhiev has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Brooks has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Azhiev taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Brooks doesn't care though - he's delighted!

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Apple tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brooks avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Apple creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Brooks tries for a takedown but Apple manages to get underhooks.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
