Emelianenko fails with a takedown attempt. A looping hook to the body misses from Emelianenko. Gilas does a little dance to reset his feet. Gilas throws a body punch but Emelianenko moves out of range. Gilas takes a shot right to the bread basket.#TD# Emelianenko drives through with a takedown into Gilas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.#SUB# Emelianenko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gilas is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gilas's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gilas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Emelianenko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gilas's guard. #REVR# Gilas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Emelianenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Gilas is retaining full guard. Emelianenko looking to sit in guard and control but Gilas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. A close round but Neil Gilas will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2# Emelianenko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gilas tries to avoid it but Emelianenko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gilas to the ground. Gilas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gilas throws a push kick but Emelianenko slaps the foot to one side. Emelianenko with a lazy takedown attempt and Gilas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gilas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Emelianenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gilas.
Emelianenko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gilas defends well and Emelianenko ends up having to push Gilas into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gilas lands a head shot. Gilas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Emelianenko shoots in for a double leg but Gilas sprawls well. Emelianenko sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Gilas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Emelianenko. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gilas throws a nice outside leg kick. #KD2# Gilas lands a big head kick that sends Emelianenko tumbling to the mat! Gilas takes a step backwards and waves Emelianenko back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT2# It looks like Alexander Emelianenko has been cut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gilas punishes Emelianenko's body with a nice straight punch.#T1# Gilas connects with a solid leg kick. Emelianenko takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Gilas throws a nice outside leg kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Gilas. Gilas throws a leg kick which misses Emelianenko's front leg but catches the back leg as Emelianenko tries to avoid it. Both fighters circling a little - Gilas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Neil Gilas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gilas cracks the inside of Emelianenko's front leg. Emelianenko sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Gilas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Emelianenko has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gilas. Gilas thuds his shin into the meat of Emelianenko's side. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Emelianenko blocks a head kick by Gilas.
Gilas lands with a hook. Emelianenko tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Emelianenko takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Emelianenko takes a step back to recover. Gilas delivers a nice body kick. Gilas throws a quick inside leg kick. Emelianenko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Oh Emelianenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gilas circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Emelianenko to the canvas! Emelianenko doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gilas keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

#R1# Nice takedown defense from Po . No joy for Emelianenko on that attempt. Po doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.#CL# Po has Emelianenko up against the cage in a clinch.
Emelianenko goes for a takedown attempt but Po pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
#CL# Po rushes Emelianenko and presses him up against the cage. Emelianenko blocks the elbow strike.
Po lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Nice body punch from Po - that landed with a thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Po misses with an elbow over the top. Po lands a left hand.
Po lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Emelianenko backwards. Po lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A short right hand to the side of the head by Po .#T1# Po pushes off an throws an elbow but Emelianenko leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Po works on Emelianenko's body with a couple of short punches. Po lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Po is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Po throws an elbow but it misses.
Po lands a hook to the side of the head. Po creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Emelianenko's defenses. #CUT# It looks like Alexander Emelianenko has been cut. Po pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Po lands a shoulder strike. Po utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Po swings wildly with an uppercut but Emelianenko uses good head movement to avoid it. Emelianenko is trying to pull guard but Po turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. I was talking to Po 's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Po can't find room to land a body shot as Emelianenko controls the action.

Po lands a nice elbow. Po gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Emelianenko.

That landed flush. Emelianenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Po finish him? Po lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Clinched against the cage, Po lands a big elbow that drops Emelianenko! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Emelianenko is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ostrowski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Emelianenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Emelianenko looking for submissions off his back.
