Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Travis Browne (ranked 1799 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nickey Spillane (ranked 1426 p4p, 168 weight class). Browne kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Knock You Out. Spillane has chosen The Foggy Dew as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nickey Spillane was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Travis Browne! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 1 losses; Nickey Spillane! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Spillane moves into range and clinches up with Browne. Spillane has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Browne after a bit of a struggle. Spillane gets underhooks to prevent Browne's takedown attempt.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Browne can do anything to dispel that myth. This has been an exciting period of action! Business wants to lay and pray for a moment but Browne keeps working. #SUB# Business looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ground and pound from Business seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. #SUB# Business wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Browne, who protects the arm well. #SUB# Business tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. #T1# Business trying to control the action but Browne is working from the bottom. Browne is pushing Business's head away, looking to escape. Browne wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Knees to the body from Muller.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Muller takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A nice glancing elbow lands by Muller. #KD# Muller lands a vicious elbow to the side of Browne's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Muller tries to finish him with strikes but Browne still seems able to defend himself so Muller steps back and lets Browne get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.#ROC# Browne is rocked!#CUT# Travis Browne's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Browne scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Proctor finish him?!#CUT# It looks like Travis Browne has been cut. A telegraphed right hand from Browne misses the target. Proctor throwing a counter right hand but Browne manages to avoid it. Proctor moves away from the strike by Browne. Proctor getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Proctor, as that shot connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Proctor sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Browne's defenses. It connects perfectly with Browne's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Horrible takedown attempt by Business or perhaps it was just good defense by Browne, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monkey Business.
