Pedan tries to circle away but Sauve has him pinned against the cage. Sauve misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sauve wants to take the fight to the mat but Pedan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Pedan with an attempt at a knee that misses.

#R1# Hugs throws a right and a left that Sauve avoids nicely. Sauve was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Hugs throws a nice looking combination but Sauve bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sauve has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Slaughterhouse in the buildup to the fight. An inside leg kick from Sauve misses. A head kick misses from Sauve. Sauve misses with a straight left. Sauve throws a head kick but Hugs moves out of range.
Hugs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sauve with a body punch. A glancing blow. #TD2# Hugs shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hugs was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Sauve is looking to reverse the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sauve struggling a bit here. My spies in IC&E Academy inform me that Hugs has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Sauve tries to bench press Hugs off him but Hugs keeps the position. Sauve is not content to let Hugs control the position. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hugs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sauve pulls Hugs in close to his closed guard and prevents Hugs from doing any damage or advancing position. Hugs landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sauve manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hugs manages to get himself to full guard.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hugs keeping moving, preventing Sauve from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Sauve will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! #R1# Sauve goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sauve misses with an uppercut. Sienly saw that one coming. Sauve stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sienly. A slow jab from Sauve misses its intended target. Sauve moves out of range as Sienly throws a body kick.
Sauve cracks Sienly with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sauve throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Nice defenses there by Sienly. Sauve moves out of range of the body kick from Sienly.
Sienly cracks the inside of Sauve's front leg. Sauve steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sienly. That one must have hurt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sienly throws a leg kick that misses. Sienly throwing a counter right hand but Sauve manages to avoid it. Both fighters circling a little - Sienly finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Sienly connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sienly looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Sauve postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Sauve working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Styles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sauve pushes down on Styles's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ground and pound from Sauve. Styles trying to hold on to Sauve's head to control him but Sauve postures up.
Sauve takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sauve's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Styles on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Styles tries to get out of the position. #R1# Sauve lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Lee has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Lee connects with a body shot that sends Sauve's belly button to the back. Lee throws an off balance right hand
and Sauve counters with a straight right hand. Sauve stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Nice shot by Sauve. Jab by Sauve. No luck for Lee with that takedown attempt. Sauve lands with a shot to the body. Sauve throws a nice head kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sauve throws a nice inside leg kick. The crowd cheers as Sauve lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lee doesn't seem phased though. Sauve tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from Sauve. Lee let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
