#R1# Leopoldo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A head kick misses from Phoenix. Phoenix bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Leopoldo's head backwards. Leopoldo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phoenix swivels and escapes. Phoenix tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leopoldo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#CL2# Phoenix gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.#BC2# Phoenix breaks the clinch.
Phoenix lunges at Leopoldo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Leopoldo's hand. Leopoldo with a lazy takedown attempt and Phoenix counters with a head kick. Phoenix throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Leopoldo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Phoenix defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedro Oscar Leopoldo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice straight punches there by Phoenix. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Phoenix.#T1# The fight stays on the outside here - Phoenix looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Phoenix tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Simon Phoenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phoenix throws a head kick but Leopoldo moves out of range.
Phoenix stuffs the takedown attempt from Leopoldo. Leopoldo gets slowly back to his feet. Phoenix throws out a counter right but Leopoldo avoids it with no problem.#CL2# Phoenix gets a clinch. Phoenix lands a left hand.
#BC2# Phoenix breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Leopoldo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phoenix swivels and escapes. Good standup being displayed there by Phoenix as he connects with a hook.#T2# Phoenix lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
#CUT2# It looks like Pedro Oscar Leopoldo has been cut. Phoenix is looking to clinch. Phoenix tries to clinch there but Leopoldo circles away.
Leopoldo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Phoenix sprawls and moves away. Phoenix throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leopoldo is defended easily by Phoenix. Phoenix tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Phoenix fails with an attempt to clinch.
Phoenix dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Phoenix lands a nice looking body kick.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Leopoldo digs a right hand underneath Phoenix's ribcage. Phoenix let out a lung full of air as it connected.#T3# Phoenix will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Leopoldo up against the cage. Leopoldo is trying to pull guard but Phoenix has him pressed against the cage. Leopoldo is trying to drag Phoenix to the mat but Phoenix just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Leopoldo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Phoenix smiles and moves away.
Phoenix connects with the punch. Leopoldo shoots in for a takedown but Phoenix shows good takedown defense. #CL2# Phoenix clinches with his opponent.
Leopoldo scores with a shoulder strike. #T4# Leopoldo tries to pull guard but Phoenix forces him back to his feet, against the cage.#BC2# Phoenix's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Phoenix throws a hook but Leopoldo avoids it easily. Phoenix clobbers Leopoldo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. #CL2# Phoenix clinches with his opponent.
#BC# Leopoldo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Leopoldo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Phoenix throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A solid body kick from Phoenix. Leopoldo is breathing heavily. Phoenix lands a front kick. Phoenix lands with a kick to the temple. Leopoldo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Leopoldo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Phoenix defends well and Leopoldo ends up having to push Phoenix into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Phoenix is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Leopoldo with a body shot. Leopoldo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Leopoldo doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Phoenix to counter with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Phoenix dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pedro Oscar Leopoldo's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2# Phoenix connects with a crisp jab. Leopoldo fails with a takedown attempt. Leopoldo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Phoenix tries to avoid it but Leopoldo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Phoenix to the ground. Phoenix escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Phoenix rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Leopoldo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Leopoldo ducks right into an uppercut from Phoenix. Leopoldo misses with a takedown and Phoenix counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.#ROC2# Leopoldo is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedro Oscar Leopoldo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Phoenix engages and cracks Leopoldo with a massive lead left hook - Leopoldo tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Phoenix is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Simon Phoenix! A relieved looking Simon Phoenix thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

#R1# Leopoldo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Long avoids it really well and circles away. The fighters circle momentarily. Long darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Long looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Leopoldo tries for a takedown but Long circles away easily and Long counters with a left and a right that stings Leopoldo. Long pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Long throws a head kick but Leopoldo moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leopoldo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Leopoldo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. No luck with that takedown attempt from Leopoldo. John Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Oscar Leopoldo.#TD2# Leopoldo gets a takedown into half guard.#ES# Long has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Leopoldo is on him like a limpet, forcing Long back against the cage.#T1# Leopoldo wants to take the fight to the mat but Long manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Leopoldo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Long smiles and moves away.

#T2# The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Long takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Long stalls. Leopoldo jumps guard but Long turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. With the fighters up against the cage, Long throws an elbow but misses. #BC# Long manages to break the clinch.
Long throws a nice looking combination but Leopoldo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Long lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Long slaps away a takedown attempt from Leopoldo, before circling back to the center of the mat. John Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leopoldo takes a body punch but keeps moving. A punch combination from Long misses. Leopoldo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Long misses with the body kick#TD2# and Leopoldo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. #ES# Long has one foot on Leopoldo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Long misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Leopoldo hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
