#R1# Reyes lands with an overhand left. Reyes cracks a nice hook into LaMotta's ribs. LaMotta shoots in for a takedown but Reyes shows good takedown defense. Reyes let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.#TD# LaMotta closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reyes's guard. LaMotta makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. LaMotta wants to pass the guard but Reyes is keeping the position. LaMotta controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reyes keeping moving, preventing LaMotta from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. LaMotta is looking to work some ground and pound but Reyes has wrist control. LaMotta throwing strikes but missing. LaMotta postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #T1# LaMotta controls the pace of the fight for a moment. LaMotta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. LaMotta trying to control the position from guard on top but Reyes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reyes wants to sweep but no luck. LaMotta stands and throws Reyes's legs to the side, diving into side control. LaMotta working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
LaMotta lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Reyes down.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reyes can do anything to dispel that myth. LaMotta wants to control but Reyes is keeping him busy. LaMotta creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. LaMotta connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Reyes some visible discomfort.

He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! LaMotta is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if LaMotta hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
