Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Williams takes a step backwards and waves Owens back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT2# It looks like Joseph Owens has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Both fighters circling a little - Williams finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. The fighters circle, before Williams throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Owens's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Williams lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Bag tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Williams manages to circle out of the way. Bag tries to clinch but Williams moves away #TD2# and Williams counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SU2# Williams stands up from half guard. #CL# Bag clinches up with Williams and pushes him back against the cage.#TD2# Williams has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bag regains guard immediately. #SU2# Williams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bag, up you get! Williams lands a jab-cross combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams tries a head kick but it misses.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. Bag in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. #ES2# Williams pushes Bag off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Bag blocks a head kick by Williams.
Donny Bag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Bag. Bag gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily #CL2# and Williams holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donny Bag. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Williams is trying to trip Bag. He has hold of a leg but Bag is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Williams persists though and gets the takedown into guard.#T2# We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#SU2# Williams gets to his feet - Bag follows without any prompting. Bag tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bag fails with the takedown#CL2# and Williams counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Williams told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.#BC2# Williams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
