Carter tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Carter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kowalchuk sprawls well initially but Carter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Kowalchuk 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.#SUB#
Kowalchuk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parent can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Parent not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. #SUB#

Well Parent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
