#R1##TD# Placencia shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Placencia showed some decent athleticism there. #SUB# Placencia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Amir defends it well. Amir is doing well to control the position and prevent Placencia from advancing to side control. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Placencia lands a nice short elbow. Placencia scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ground and pound from Placencia. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Placencia lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Amir punching from the bottom.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Placencia trying to mount his opponent but Amir defends it. Placencia scores with a couple of good hammerfists. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Placencia throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Amir to regain full guard. Placencia in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Placencia lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Placencia working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. #T2# Placencia postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Placencia is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Placencia scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Placencia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Placencia throws a strike but Amir rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB# My spies in WildBoar's Pig Pen (Strength and Conditioning) $40 inform me that Amir has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Placencia is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#SUB# Placencia has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Amir should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Placencia has tightened it up now! Amir should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

#R1##CL# Placencia clinches. Still in the clinch, Kolov scores with a nice short uppercut. Kolov lands a left hand.
#TD# Placencia is trying to trip Kolov. He has hold of a leg but Kolov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Placencia persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Placencia passes Kolov's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Placencia scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Placencia thows a huge punch but Kolov dodges it nicely.
Placencia landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Placencia controlling the action here. Placencia working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Placencia passes the guard and advances to mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Placencia breaks from Kolov's wrist control and lands an elbow. #T1# Placencia working Kolov over with strikes here. Placencia fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
#SUB# Placencia has hold of Kolov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kolov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#SUB# Kolov has left one of his arms exposed and Placencia doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kolov screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
