#R1# Randhawa shoots in looking for a takedown but Pappas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Randhawa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Randhawa misses with a takedown attempt - Pappas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Randhawa shoots in looking for a takedown. Pappas tries to sprawl out of it but Randhawa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pappas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Prathamesh Randhawa. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# Randhawa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pappas napping and manages to drive through into side control! Pappas wants to control but Randhawa postures up. Pappas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Randhawa's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Pappas is in trouble now - Randhawa has advanced to mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Randhawa fails to take his opponent's back. Pappas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Pappas is in trouble. Randhawa controlling from the back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A lull in the action here.

Hines has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pappas is landing a low percentage of strikes. Pappas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pappas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hines moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hines on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Pappas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
