and Draupnir counters with a nice kick to the body. Draupnir throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Draupnir takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Draupnir moves into range and connects with a jab. Cox throws out a loose jab but Draupnir uses good head movement to avoid it. Draupnir scores with a slapping inside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cox thuds a left hand into Draupnir's body. Nice shot lands for Cox. Draupnir slips a jab from Cox. Draupnir has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Draupnir walks straight into a jab right on the nose. Cox gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Draupnir points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Cox wakes up just in time to hear Draupnir thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Draupnir has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Whirl's Old School Boxing Club in the buildup to the fight. Evan Payton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Payton tries to move into range but Draupnir moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sloppy strikes from Draupnir. Those never looked like landing. #TD2# Payton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Payton in particular looking to stall.#SUB2# Payton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Draupnir has managed to free his arm - good work. Payton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Payton is looking to advance position but Draupnir won't allow it. #T1##SUB2# Payton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Draupnir doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Payton. Draupnir wants to control but Payton is keeping busy and won't allow it. Payton not doing much here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Baldur Draupnir will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Draupnir takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Payton wants to clinch enabling Draupnir to counter with a crisp jab. The fighters circling - Draupnir throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Draupnir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's going to take a lot out of Evan Payton. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Baldur Draupnir. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Draupnir, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
