#ROC# Day is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duff would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Day is still in real trouble! Can Duff finish him? Day is trying to control the position but Duff postures up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Day is on top in guard.
#REVB# Day seems to have recovered his senses.#SUB2# Day thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duff is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Duff keeping moving, preventing Day from controlling successfully. #SUB2# Day drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Day jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB2# Day thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Duff is looking to stand up but Day isn't so interested in that idea. #SUB2# Duff wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Day's hips, looking to push off. But Day grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Duff screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!

Day throws a jab when Szczęsny was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A left and a right from Szczęsny both land. Nice combination. That was a close round but I would say that Krystian Cierpka will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. #R1# Griffin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Day shoots in for a takedown but Griffin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Day lands with a right hand. Day lands a nice shot to the body.
Day looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Day checks a leg kick nicely. Horrible takedown attempt by Day or perhaps it was just good defense by Griffin, which made it look bad. Day misses with a combination
#TD2# and Griffin counters with a takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This has been an exciting period of action! Griffin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Griffin grinds an elbow into Day's temple. You can see the frustration on Day's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
