#R1# Turner blocks a head kick by Poffo.
Poffo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Turner is landing a low percentage of strikes. Turner thows a leg kick but Poffo checks it and Poffo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#CUT2# It looks like Mack Turner has been cut. A clash of legs there as Turner blocks the low kick. Poffo lands a jab. Poffo misses with a straight right. Poffo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Turner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Poffo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Turner doesn't seem bothered though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A solid leg kick lands there for Turner.
Poffo throws a leg kick #TD# and Turner counters with a takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Poffo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Poffo trying to control from the bottom.
#T1# Turner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Poffo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Poffo trying to control but Turner postures up.
Poffo is refusing to be controlled, as Turner sits in half guard. Poffo is looking for a sweep. Turner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Turner slows the pace down in half guard. Poffo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Turner lands strikes from half guard. Poffo regains full guard. Nicely done. Poffo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. #T2# Poffo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Turner preventing the sweep. Poffo keeping moving, preventing Turner from controlling successfully. Poffo is pulling down on Turner's head to control his posture. Turner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
#T3# Turner postures up in Poffo's guard and throws a big left but Poffo blocks it. Turner landing some decent shots from guard. Turner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Turner is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Poffo looking for a sweep. Not yet Poffo, not yet. Turner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Poffo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Poffo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Turner trying to control but Poffo is working from the bottom. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.#T4##TD# Turner shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Poffo is looking for a sweep. Turner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Poffo is staying active underneath Turner, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Turner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Turner thows a huge punch but Poffo dodges it nicely.
Poffo wants to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Turner scores with a couple of good hammerfists.#SUB# Turner is looking for a kimura but Poffo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Turner to get the leverage. Turner is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mack Turner dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mack Turner's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2# Poffo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Poffo looks to land a body kick but Turner moved away. A telegraphed right hand from Poffo misses the target. Turner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Poffo. Poffo misses with a low kick.
Turner seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Turner takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poffo tries to work over Turner's front leg with a kick but Turner checks it. Poffo checks a leg kick. Poffo is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Turner takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Turner throws a leg kick and Poffo counters with a crisp right that sends Turner to the canvas! Poffo follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

#R1# Rua tries a low kick but Turner avoids it. Rua fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Turner takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rua turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Turner thows a leg kick but Rua checks it and Rua counters with a two punch combo. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Turner scores with a leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rua.
Rua stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Turner. Turner throws the kick towards the body but Rua avoids it. Rua throwing a counter right hand but Turner manages to avoid it. Rua misses with a low kick. Rua connects with a leg kick. Turner looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Rua is looking to score with low kicks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rua gets off balance looking for a body kick#TD2# and Turner counters with a takedown into side control. Rua manages to work his way to half guard, despite Turner's best efforts. Turner not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rua wants to get back to full guard. Rua is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Turner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Turner's back! Turner wants to control his opponent's hands but Rua gets his hands free. #T1# The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Rua's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Rua avoiding Turner 's attempts to control his hands. Rua has the hooks in. Turner is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Rua tries to keep control of the position but Turner is staying busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Rua is persistently looking for the submission but Turner is defending it well.

Turner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rua is keeping the position for now. Turner trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #T3# Turner throws a big elbow that misses. Rua is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Turner works a leg free and moves into half guard. Turner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rua is looking to improve his position.
#SUB2# Turner looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
#SUB2# Turner has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rua defend it? Turner steps over the head and cranks it - Rua is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Turner!
