It looked like Ogle was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Madarame. Madarame looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Madarame ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ogle throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Madarame. Ogle with a jab. Ogle jabs Madarame to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ogle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Madarame.
No joy there for Madarame, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Ogle counters with a lovely straight right hand! Madarame lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Madarame takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ogle misses with a straight right. Ogle ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ogle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That could be painful for both fighters. Madarame will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Madarame rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ogle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice jab there from Ogle. Ogle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Madarame eats them both and turns towards Ogle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#ROC# Madarame is rocked! Ogle circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Madarame to the canvas! Madarame doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ogle keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ghani Ogle! A relieved looking Ghani Ogle thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Ogle's coach down at Body Pain_14elite_650$+VM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ogle's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Ja throws a body punch but Ogle moves out of range. A countering left hand to the body from Ogle misses. Ja fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ogle on the side of the head. Hwai Ja is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ja is trying to control Ogle's posture but Ogle avoids it. Ja tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ogle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ogle is looking to take a break and control but Ja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ogle is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ogle connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ja some visible discomfort.
A lull in the action here as Ogle stalls from top position. Ghani Ogle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ja struggling a bit here. Ogle landing strikes. Ja is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ogle connects with a decent elbow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ja can't do much from the bottom here. #SUB2# Ogle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ja, who protects the arm well.

Ogle throws a right hand that Berkowitz ducks under and follows up with a left that Berkowitz also avoids with ease. Danga de danga de dang - Ogle scores with a four punch combination!#CUT# It looks like Andy Berkowitz has been cut. Berkowitz jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ogle works Berkowitz's body with a nice hook. Ogle tests Berkowitz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Berkowitz gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Berkowitz drops his hands momentarily and Ogle takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Berkowitz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Berkowitz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Ogle fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Berkowitz on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ogle is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Berkowitz flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Berkowitz is out cold! Ogle holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
