Sandow shoots for a double leg takedown but Whitfield sprawls well. He's pushed Sandow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sandow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Whitfield throws a quick counter head kick but Sandow was just out of range. Sandow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Whitfield counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #CUT# It looks like Damien Sandow has been cut. Kevin Whitfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Sandow. Sandow shoots for a double leg takedown but Whitfield sprawls well. The fighters roll with the hold and Whitfield manages to kick Sandow off! Sandow jumps back into Whitfield's guard. Sandow stopping the sweep attempt from Whitfield.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Whitfield doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Sandow tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Whitfield defends well and Sandow ends up having to push Whitfield into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Whitfield appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Sandow wants to clinch and Whitfield counters with a good low kick that Sandow was not able to check. Sandow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Whitfield counters with a nice uppercut. #T3# Sandow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Whitfield tries to avoid it but Sandow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Whitfield to the ground. Whitfield escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sandow tries to clinch up but Whitfield circles away and keeps his distance. Whitfield was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A left lands for Whitfield.#CUT# That has opened up Damien Sandow's cut even more. Whitfield drops Sandow with a straight right hand, right on the button! Whitfield follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Steel!
Steel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sandow. Steel feints and then cracks Sandow's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sandow down. Steel throws a big shot that misses. Sandow shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Sandow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sandow on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sandow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steel avoids it really well and circles away. Steel scoring well with a low kick there.

Sandow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steel pinned against the cage. Steel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sandow steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Steel. That one must have hurt. Steel scores with a sloppy right hand. Sandow should have avoided that one. James Steel seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sandow takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Sandow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A slow jab from Steel misses its intended target. Steel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sandow moves away from the strike by Steel. Steel cracks the inside of Sandow's front leg. Sloppy strikes from Steel. Those never looked like landing. Sandow on the wrong end of a nice jab. Steel looks to land a combination but Sandow avoids it well. Sandow misses with a takedown attempt - Steel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Sandow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Steel throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sandow's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sandow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pichushkin pinned against the cage. Pichushkin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice defenses there by Sandow. Sandow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pichushkin tries to avoid it but Sandow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pichushkin to the ground. Pichushkin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Good shot there by Pichushkin.#CUT# It looks like Damien Sandow has been cut. Sandow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sandow gets slowly back to his feet. We've been hearing reports that Sandow has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Pendragon misses with a few strikes there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sandow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sandow shoots in but no luck this time. Pendragon looks like he wants to counter punch here. Sandow walks into a straight right hand from Pendragon. Sandow takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

#R1# Sandow on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Yol throws a looping overhand right but Sandow ducks down to avoid it. Yol is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sandow. Yol leaves Sandow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Yol connects with a single shot there.#CUT2# It looks like Damien Sandow has been cut. Yol shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sandow eats them both and turns towards Yol to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#CL2# Yol fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sandow, pushing him back against the cage. Yol works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Pechorin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Pechorin stuffs the takedown.#CL2# Pechorin moves into the clinch successfully.
Pechorin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sandow up against the cage. Pechorin is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
