#R1# Harris sizes up Joe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nice takedown defense from Harris. No joy for Joe on that attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Harris! But no joy. Harris misses with a few strikes there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Harris leaves Joe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. No joy there for Harris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A combination from Joe does no damage. Joe shoots in and drives through. Harris sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glass Joe. Horrible takedown attempt by Joe or perhaps it was just good defense by La Vellei, which made it look bad. #TD2# La Vellei shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. La Vellei missing with the ground and pound from half guard. La Vellei thows a huge punch but Joe dodges it nicely.
#SUB2# La Vellei is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Joe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time La Vellei. Joe won't allow La Vellei to pass to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# La Vellei seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Joe is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Joe as he connects with a hook. Boxaaja throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Boxaaja thuds a left hand into Joe's body. Boxaaja slips a jab and a cross from Joe.
Boxaaja throws out a counter right but Joe avoids it with no problem. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Boxaaja checks a leg kick. A nice side step and Boxaaja releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Boxaaja scores with a nice strike. Boxaaja thuds his right hand into Joe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Boxaaja moves out of range of the body kick.#TD# Boxaaja gets caught napping as Joe dives in and scores a takedown. Boxaaja manages to retain guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trucks circles away from the clinch attempt and Joe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CUT2#It looks like Glass Joe has been cut. Joe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Glass Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Joe shoots and misses and Trucks counters with a huge head kick that drops Joe! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!

We've been informed that Joe has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. We've been hearing reports that Shaker has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Shaker jabs at Joe's body. Cooke has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Joe has his takedown stuffed and Cooke makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Joe. Matt Cooke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glass Joe. Cooke looks to land a combination but Joe avoids it well. Joe has his takedown stuffed and Cooke counters with a good low kick that Joe was not able to check. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe looks to score with a jab to the body but Buckshank is just out of range. A nice leg kick lands there from Joe. We've been told by Buckshank's head coaches at Signature Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Joe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Horrible takedown attempt by Joe or perhaps it was just good defense by Buckshank, which made it look bad.
