Boone misses with a straight right. Van Gogh throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Boone waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Van Gogh. Van Gogh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boone manages to avoid it. Nice uppercut lands for Boone. That snapped Van Gogh's head back.

Van Gogh is trying to ground and pound but Boone uses the momentary lack of control by Van Gogh to regain half guard. Van Gogh seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Boone wants to get back to his feet. Boone won't allow Van Gogh to pass to mount. Boone keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. A nice side step and Boone releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Van Gogh takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Boone cracks Van Gogh on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Van Gogh falls backwards against the cage. Boone follows up with more strikes that drop Van Gogh to his knees. Boone keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Van Gogh! This one is all over!

Van Gogh has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Redfield's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Van Gogh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Redfield scrambles back to his feet. Redfield bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Redfield looking to land some kicks to the body here.

It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. In defeat, Chris Redfield stepped up to the mic, saying 'The End is Near. No Scratch that, I think it's here.'.

#R1# Peukalo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Van Gogh stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A swing and a miss from Peukalo. Peukalo looks to throw the jab but Van Gogh is out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Van Gogh misses with a takedown attempt and Van Gogh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Peukalo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Van Gogh swats him away and circles back towards the center. A looping hook to the body misses from Peukalo. Van Gogh does a little dance to reset his feet. As Peukalo tries to get set, Van Gogh tries to push him back and clinch up but Peukalo manages to avoid the attempt.#CL2# Peukalo clinches up against the cage. Peukalo pressing his opponent against the cage. Van Gogh throws an elbow but it misses.

#R1# Van Gogh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Akainu but Akainu pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice jab there from Akainu. Akainu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Van Gogh. Akainu scores with a jab. A solid leg kick lands there for Akainu.
Van Gogh dives in for a single leg takedown but Akainu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Akainu attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Akainu lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Akainu cracks the inside of Van Gogh's front leg. Akainu with a hook. Akainu connects with a single shot there. Van Gogh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Akainu's waist but Akainu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Van Gogh off to one side. Sakazuki Akainu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pierre Van Gogh. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
