The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Halverson checks a leg kick. Halverson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Petrosyan under the eye. Halverson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Halverson scores with a body shot.

Nickal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Petrosyan moves to clinch but Alexander breaks away and Alexander counters with a nice low kick that buckles Petrosyan's knee momentarily. Alexander throws the kick towards the body but Petrosyan avoids it. Petrosyan closes the distance looking to clinch and Alexander counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Alexander closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Petrosyan! Alexander dives in looking to finish! Petrosyan is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
