#R1# Kozlov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Obukhovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Obukhov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Obukhov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kozlov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kozlov pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kozlov dips to his left and cracks Obukhov with an uppercut! Obukhov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kozlov. Obukhov drops his hands momentarily and Kozlov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Obukhov misses with a body shot
and Kozlov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kozlov walks forward, straight into a front kick from Obukhov. Kozlov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A jab from Kozlov misses. Kozlov has a takedown stuffed. Kozlov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Obukhov defends well and Kozlov ends up having to push Obukhov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. I was talking to Jackson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Jackson avoiding damage as Obukhov throws knees to the body.

The crowd are getting on Obukhov's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Obukhov is working for a takedown up against the cage.
