Sweet shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blood but Blood pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sweet is looking to clinch but Blood is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Blood. Blood misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blood throws a sloppy head kick #TD2# and Sweet counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Blood! Blood gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Blood tries to roll over but Sweet keeps him under control. Blood trying to hold on to Sweet's head to control him but Sweet postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blood slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sweet accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #T1# Sweet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blood swivels though and keeps the full guard. Blood trying to keep a closed guard but Sweet is proving a slippery customer.

Aaron Blood dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! #R2# Blood throws a hook but Sweet blocks it. Blood fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sweet on the side of the head. Blood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A nice side step and Sweet releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Blood is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Blood tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sweet was well out of range. Poor timing from Blood. Sweet takes a kick to the side of the head. Sweet is still on wobbly legs! Can Blood finish him? Aaron Blood is winning the standup battle so far. Blood lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Blood scores with a punch to the head. Sweet avoids the body shot from Blood.
As Blood backs off Sweet throws a huge counter combo but Blood manages to avoid it all. Blood throws a head kick but Sweet moves out of range.

and Sweet cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Horrible takedown attempt by Sweet or perhaps it was just good defense by Blood, which made it look bad. Blood fires out a quick counter leg kick but Sweet just manages to avoid it. A head kick misses from Blood. Sweet seems to have recovered his senses. Blood dips to his left and cracks Sweet with an uppercut! And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aaron Blood. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blood, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. #R1# Miller throws a hook but Sweet blocks it. Miller misses the body punch and Sweet counters with a two punch combo. Miller's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sweet under the eye. Sweet looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miller is fending him off so far but Sweet persists. Nope, Miller circles away and we're back to standing. Nice shot lands for Miller. Miller misses with a hook. Sweet ducked under it nicely. Sweet shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense. #CL2# Sweet moves into range and clinches up with Miller. Sweet looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sweet tries to pull guard but Miller won't allow it.
Ben Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Sweet. Sweet is looking to break free of the clinch but Miller has double underhooks. Sweet is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Miller misses with a punch to the body.
Sweet takes a shot to the head. Miller digs a right hand into Sweet's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sweet's gas tank. #T1# Miller tries to land knees in the clinch but Sweet avoids the damage to the body. A head punch on the inside from Miller fails to land. Miller throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sweets head. I was talking to Miller's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Sweet changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Miller fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A combination from Miller does no damage. Miller cracks a nice hook into Sweet's ribs. Sweet shoots for a double leg takedown but Miller sprawls well. He's pushed Sweet's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Miller seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Miller connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Miller does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. #CL# Miller has closed the distance and engaged Sweet in a clinch.
Sweet is trying to pull guard but Miller turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Miller has a couple of punches blocked by Sweet.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Miller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sweet is in all sorts of trouble here.
