#R1# Gunvaldsson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kalakoda's hands.#KD# Gunvaldsson drops Kalakoda with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kalakoda looks back up at him and smiles so Gunvaldsson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#CUT# It looks like Motoumba Kalakoda has been cut. Kalakoda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gunvaldsson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gunvaldsson stuffs the takedown attempt from Kalakoda. Kalakoda gets slowly back to his feet. #KD# Gunvaldsson drops Kalakoda with a hook right on the temple. #ROC# Kalakoda is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kalakoda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gunvaldsson pinned against the cage. Gunvaldsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Gunvaldsson throwing a counter right hand but Kalakoda manages to avoid it.#CL# Gunvaldsson has taken the fight to the clinch.
#BC# Gunvaldsson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gunvaldsson connects with a body shot that sends Kalakoda's belly button to the back. Kalakoda looks winded!#CL# Gunvaldsson rushes Kalakoda and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gunvaldsson works on Kalakoda's body with a couple of short punches. Gunvaldsson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Gunvaldsson digs a right hand into Kalakoda's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kalakoda's gas tank. Gunvaldsson lands with a short head shot on the inside. #BC# Gunvaldsson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#KD# Gunvaldsson cracks Kalakoda with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gunvaldsson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kalakoda to stand back up! Kalakoda is still on wobbly legs! Can Gunvaldsson finish him?#T1# Gunvaldsson scores with a hook to the body. Kalakoda takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kalakoda seems to have recovered his senses. Gunvaldsson fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Kalakoda out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Bjorn Gunvaldsson! Post fight, Bjorn Gunvaldsson took to the microphone: 'I told you last time... you won, but you cant really stop the Devil! The belt is mine!'.

#R1# Leone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kalakoda circles away from the clinch attempt#TD# and Kalakoda counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Leone! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kalakoda fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Leone parries the strikes from Kalakoda easily there. Kalakoda is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Leone to escape.

#SUB# Kalakoda tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kalakoda has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kalakoda throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kalakoda will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# Kalakoda is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. #SUB# Kalakoda is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kalakoda trying to control the action but Leone is working from the bottom. #T1# Kalakoda misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kalakoda fails to land a wild elbow strike.
#SUB# Kalakoda is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Leone has escaped the position, nice work there. Leone is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kalakoda's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leone is trying to get back to full guard. Leone trying to control from the bottom.
Leone looks winded!#SUB# Kalakoda is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leone sees it coming and defends easily. Kalakoda works his way into side control. Kalakoda misses with the ground and pound.#T2##SUB# The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kalakoda thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kalakoda sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Leone is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
#SUB# Kalakoda is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Leone looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kalakoda gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Leone is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kalakoda lets go of the hold and Leone can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Motoumba Kalakoda! Motoumba Kalakoda very nearly forgot to thank Arcticus University: London amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you. The defeated Fletcher Leone had this to say: 'It doesn't matter if you win or lose, you still in charge of your legacy!'.
