Todd tries a head kick but it misses.
#TD# Marvin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Todd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Marvin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. #SUB# Marvin has hold of Todd's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Todd tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Marvin cranks the arm and Todd screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Todd, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

#R1# Marvin misses with a body kick. Mostert misses with a straight right. Marvin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mostert. Mostert looks to score with a jab to the body but Marvin is just out of range. Marvin is looking to counter with a body kick. Mostert feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Marvins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A left lands for Mostert. The fighters circle momentarily. Mostert darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.#ROC2# Marvin is rocked! Marvin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mostert to score with a decent uppercut. Oh Marvin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Marvin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Mostert fakes the body blow, causing Marvin to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Marvin goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

#R1# Venom fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marvin is out of range. Venom keeps the fight on the outside. Venom throws a shot to the body.
We've been told by Venom's head coaches at Damage Inc. that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Marvin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Venom takes a step back to recover. Marvin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Venom on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Marvin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Venom's head. Marvin on the wrong end of a nice jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marvin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Venom throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Marvin shoots in looking for a takedown but Venom manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marvin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Marvin throws a head kick that misses and Venom counters with a left to the body. Marvin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Venom as he avoids it easily. A little jabbing left from Nomo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Nomo looks to land a right hand but Marvin moved out of range. It appears Marvin was looking to counter with a kick there. Nomo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Nomo duly obliges. Marvin throws the kick towards the body but Nomo avoids it. Nomo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

#TD# Marvin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Marvin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd are loving this. Marvin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nomo to escape.

The Dane sprawls well initially but Marvin persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Marvin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. #SUB# Marvin seems to be working for a kimura but The Dane defends the submission attempt. The Dane preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stolt is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Marvin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silker tries to get to full guard but Marvin has control of the leg. Silker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Marvin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. #T1# Marvin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Marvin is stalling here. Silker is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! #R1# Muna closes the distance and lands a one-two. Muna misses with a jab, cross combination.
Marvin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muna but Muna pushes him off and we're back to square one. Muna throws out a counter right but Marvin avoids it with no problem. Muna comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Marvin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Marvin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Muna really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marvin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Muna looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Marvin shoots in and bounces Quik off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
