Provenza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz. #TD2# Diaz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Provenza to score an easy takedown into full guard. Diaz can't keep his opponent in guard - Provenza advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. #SUB# Diaz looking for submissions off his back. Diaz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Provenza lands a nice short elbow. Salazar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salazar somewhat. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Salazar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz throws a counter combo.#CL# Grabonzo clinches up with Diaz and pushes him back against the cage.#TD# Grabonzo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Grabonzo manages to end up in side control. Diaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grabonzo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sloppy strikes there by Grabonzo. Diaz is trying to get back to half guard.#SUB# Grabonzo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grabonzo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #SUB# Grabonzo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Grabonzo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. #TD# Beton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#SUB2# Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diaz is tightening it up a little... Beton has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Beton reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Beton taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diaz!

#R1##TD2# Grabonzo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.#SUB2# Grabonzo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #SUB# Diaz has his foot on Grabonzo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grabonzo works his way back into a safe position though. We've been hearing good reports from Diaz's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Grabonzo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.#SUB# Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz is trying to pull guard but Gatsby has him pressed against the cage. Gatsby avoiding damage.
Gatsby has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Gatsby pressing his opponent against the cage. Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Big J Smiles and Nickthaniel Diaz. Smiles kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Smile Like You Mean It. Diaz has chosen Feiticeira as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nickthaniel Diaz was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Big J Smiles! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 1 losses; Nickthaniel Diaz! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.

A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Diaz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. No joy there for Diaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Walnuts has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diaz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.#BC2# Diaz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Walnuts swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walnuts ducks right into an uppercut from Diaz. Walnuts tests Diaz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Walnuts has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Diaz misses with a body shot.
