Rex tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blue defends well and Rex ends up having to push Blue into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rex takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice takedown defense from Blue. No joy for Rex on that attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Rex or perhaps it was just good defense by Blue, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tee Rex. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rex throws a half hearted mid kick. Rex swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Rex's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Rex throwing shots but Blue is blocking nicely. Blue really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rex. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rex throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Still in half guard, Rex seems content to control. Blue is trying to stand.
