Haraldsson throws a solid leg kick but Hussey takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Haraldsson. Haraldsson slaps away a takedown attempt from Hussey, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hussey looks to land a combination but Haraldsson avoids it well. Haraldsson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hussey manages to circle out of the way. Haraldsson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Denis Hussey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haraldsson blocks a head kick by Hussey.

#R1# Hussey chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Manhoef can pounce on him.
Manhoef moves out of range of the body kick from Hussey.
Manhoef connects with an inside leg kick. Hussey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hussey is looking to clinch. Manhoef lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Nice uppercut lands for Manhoef. That snapped Hussey's head back.
#CUT2# It looks like Denis Hussey has been cut. Manhoef feints a jab and as Hussey dips his head, Manhoef unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Hussey right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Hussey falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Manhoef smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Melvin Manhoef! Melvin Manhoef seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

#R1# Lapikov getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hussey throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lapikov counters with a right hand to the body. Lapikov lands with a shot to the body. Hussey misses with a takedown attempt letting Lapikov counter with a right hand. Hussey is looking to land body kicks.#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Hussey enables Lapikov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hussey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#ES# Hussey manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hussey misses with a takedown attempt #TD2# and Lapikov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lapikov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lapikov drops an elbow to the side of Hussey's head. Lapikov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hussey wants to control but Lapikov is keeping busy.
#T1# Lapikov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lapikov lands strikes from half guard. Lapikov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#SUB2# Lapikov seems to be working for a kimura but Hussey defends the submission attempt.#SUB2# Lapikov maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hussey could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Lapikov has cracked it and Hussey is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Lapikov!

#R1# Gorman jabs at Hussey's body.#CL2# Hussey has Gorman up against the cage in a clinch.
Hussey blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hussey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gorman walks away with a smile on his face. Hussey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL# Gorman gets a clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Hussey's face as he tries to break the clinch. Gorman digs a right hand underneath Hussey's ribcage. Hussey let out a lung full of air as it connected. Gorman with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Gorman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hussey up against the cage. Hussey tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gorman avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gorman. A body shot lands from Gorman.

The fight stays on the outside here - Big Dog looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Big Dog tries to close the distance and clinch but Hussey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Big Dog is looking to clinch. Big Dog doesn't manage to clinch there - Hussey circles away.
