#R1# Caulfield shoots in and drives through. Nickal sprawls well. Nickal changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nickal throws a body punch but Caulfield moves out of range. Caulfield swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Caulfield doesn't manage to clinch there - Nickal circles away.
Caulfield throws a left and a right that both miss
#TD2# and Nickal counters with a shoot takedown. Caulfield fights it but they end up in guard. Caulfield is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Nickal dives into side control.
#REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caulfield is looking for a sweep. Caulfield is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nickal has just dragged him back down to the mat. Caulfield tries to buck Nickal off but Nickal is having none of it. Caulfield takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Nickal scoring with punches and elbows. Caulfield takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.#T1# Caulfield is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Caulfield dodges the ground and pound from Nickal . Caulfield is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Nickal 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Nickal is nestled in close to Caulfield, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#ROC2# Caulfield is rocked! Caulfield is trying to maintain the position but Nickal is very close to passing his half guard. Oh Caulfield is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nickal lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Caulfield! More strikes land and this one is all over! Nickal jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

#R1# Pedrosian looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Caulfield scores with a one two! Pedrosian had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #CUT# It looks like Tim Pedrosian has been cut. Tim Pedrosian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Caulfield swinging wildly here.
Pedrosian throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Caulfield counters with a right hand to the body. Caulfield lands a glancing blow to the side of Pedrosian's head. Pedrosian cracks the inside of Caulfield's front leg. Pedrosian misses with a wild combination.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pedrosian misses with a hook from the clinch. I was talking to Caulfield's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Come on Pedrosian - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Pedrosian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. #T1# Caulfield scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Pedrosian gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Caulfield counters with a one-two to the body. Pedrosian shoots in looking for a takedown but Caulfield manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pedrosian's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Caulfield went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Caulfield will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pedrosian tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Caulfield manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Caulfield appears to be looking for a big counter. Caulfield feints a jab promting Pedrosian to slip. Caulfield then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pedrosian slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Pedrosian throws a sloppy head kick and Caulfield moves out of range easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pedrosian throws a head kick that misses. Eric Caulfield is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Horrible takedown attempt by Pedrosian or perhaps it was just good defense by Caulfield, which made it look bad. Eric Caulfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Pedrosian. Caulfield blocks a low kick nicely. A leg kick checked by Pedrosian. #T3# Caulfield lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pedrosian circles away quickly and effectively. Caulfield scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Caulfield throws a right hand that Pedrosian ducks under and follows up with a left that Pedrosian also avoids with ease. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pedrosian is defended easily by Caulfield. As Pedrosian looks to move away, Caulfield throws a big counter combo but Pedrosian just gets out of the way. The fight stays on the outside here - Pedrosian looks like he's thinking about clinching though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pedrosian is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pedrosian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A head kick by Pedrosian misses and Caulfield counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Pedrosian badly! He tries to strike back but Caulfield puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Pedrosian out cold! Oh man, Pedrosian will never hear the end of this one!
