#R1##TD2# Tooth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Siegel is being controlled here. Tooth scoring with punches and elbows. Siegel is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tooth throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Siegel is looking to get back to his feet here but Tooth is keeping cool and he's managed to take Siegel's back. You can see the frustration on Siegel's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tooth avoiding Siegel 's attempts to control his hands. #T1# Tooth controlling well, preventing Siegel from escaping the position.

It looks like Tooth might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. #T3# Siegel tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Siegel tries to lock up and control but Tooth gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tooth throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Tooth with the ground and pound from mount. Tooth wants to control the action but instead Siegel gets a body lock and reverses into Tooth's guard! Nice work! Siegel stands and throws Tooth's legs to the side, diving into side control. Siegel tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Siegel working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
#T4# Siegel working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Tooth tries to buck Siegel off but Siegel is having none of it. Tooth is still trying to improve position. Siegel grinds an elbow into Tooth's temple. Siegel misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Tooth gets back to half guard. Ground and pound from Siegel. This has been an exciting period of action! Tooth tries to get to full guard but Siegel has control of the leg. Tooth is controlling Siegel's position as best he can from this difficult position. Siegel thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tooth's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sabre Tooth dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2# Tooth tries for a takedown but Siegel circles away easily letting Siegel counter with a right hand. Tooth tries for a takedown but Siegel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tooth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Benjamin Siegel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sabre Tooth. Siegel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tooth at a distance.
Siegel dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tooth has his takedown stuffed and Siegel counters with a nice uppercut. Tooth looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Tooth takes one to the side of the head.
#ROC# Tooth is rocked! Tooth switches off momentarily and Siegel cracks him with a monster right hand! Tooth topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Siegel dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Siegel!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benjamin Siegel! A relieved looking Benjamin Siegel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

#R1# Tooth gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tooth takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tooth with a poor takedown and Macellaio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#TD# Tooth shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Macellaio has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Macellaio wants to control the action here but instead Tooth manages to pass to full mount! Macellaio manages to regain half guard. Good work. Macellaio is trying to control but can't.
#SUB2# Macellaio looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tooth lands strikes from half guard. Macellaio avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tooth. Tooth trying to pass the guard but Macellaio defending well. Macellaio keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. #T1# Tooth is thwarting Macellaio's attempts to control the position. Macellaio blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tooth. #SUB2# Macellaio is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tooth pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Macellaio is staying active underneath Tooth, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Macellaio is trying to control but can't.

Tooth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tooth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #SUB2# Macellaio looking for submissions from the bottom here. Macellaio wants to sweep here but Tooth controlling him for the moment. #T3# Tooth throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tooth accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Macellaio keeping moving, preventing Tooth from controlling successfully. Tooth connects with a couple of short punches.#SUB2# Macellaio has his foot on Tooth's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tooth works his way back into a safe position though. Tooth looking to pass the guard. #SUB2# Tooth is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Macellaio has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tooth is looking to defend but Macellaio has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tooth! Macellaio pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tooth taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Giovanni Macellaio! Giovanni Macellaio was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
