#R1# Ocheda on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Ocheda takes one to the chin there. Crunch! Kriel slams his shin into Ocheda's torso. Kriel lands with a nice body punch. Ocheda on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kriel connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kriel misses with a hook
#TD2# and Ocheda counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. #ES# Kriel manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. I was talking to Kriel's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kriel using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
#BC# Kriel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#T1# Ocheda takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kriel keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Kriel misses with a body shot.
Kriel jabbing away but nothing is landing. And Ocheda tries to counter it with a takedown but Kriel pushes his down on his head and steps out. Willem Kriel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kriel throws a body shot but no joy. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kriel.
#T2# Kriel connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Ocheda tumbling to the canvas! Kriel pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Ocheda was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Willem Kriel! Willem Kriel bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.

#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.#TD# Fields feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ocheda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB# Fields is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Ocheda is just content to waste time from the top position. Fields takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Ocheda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fields swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ocheda passes into half guard. Fields trying to hold on to Ocheda's head to control him but Ocheda postures up.
#T1# Fields won't allow Ocheda to pass to mount. Fields is controlling Ocheda's position as best he can from this difficult position. Ocheda wants to pass to mount but Fields is defending the position. Fields keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Fields manages to get to full guard.
Ocheda wants to pass the guard but Fields is keeping the position.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fields keeping moving, preventing Ocheda from controlling successfully. Ocheda preventing the sweep. Ocheda pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fields is keeping the position for now. #SUB2# Ocheda drops back looking for a leg! Fields is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fields manages to kick Ocheda off! Ocheda jumps back into Fields's guard. Fields pulls Ocheda in to control the position. #T3# Ocheda throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fields works some decent striking defense from the bottom. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#TD# Fields shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ocheda napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ocheda is looking to regain half guard here but Fields keeps moving and retains side control. Fields grinds an elbow into Ocheda's temple. Ocheda takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Fields creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.#ROC# Ocheda is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fields in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Ocheda looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Fields turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Fields! During a confident post fight interview, Scott Fields thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
