#R1# Purha throws a push kick but Brooks slaps the foot to one side. Purha tries to land a front kick but Brooks steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Brooks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brooks misses with a few strikes there.
Brooks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brooks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Purha circles away quickly and effectively. Brooks looks to score with a jab to the body but Purha is just out of range. Brooks throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Purha is trying to counter with his kicks. Brooks closes the distance and lands a one-two.#CUT# It looks like Veke Purha has been cut. Nice straight punches there by Brooks. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Brooks. Some wild striking there from Purha.
As Purha looks to move away, Brooks throws a big counter combo but Purha just gets out of the way. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brooks checks a leg kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Purha has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A combination from Brooks does no damage. Brooks throws a right and a left that Purha avoids nicely. Purha steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Brooks connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Purha momentarily.

Purha throws a wild body kick that Brooks sees coming a mile off. Brooks has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brooks there as he acknowledges the shot. Brooks swinging wildly here.

#CL2# Purha darts in and clinches Brooks up against the cage. I was talking to Brooks's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Brooks tries to throw a body punch but Purha avoids it by throwing Brooks back against the cage. A shot in the inside from Brooks. Brooks tries to break the clinch but Purha is controlling the position. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Purha working aggressively here.
#BC2# Purha breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#T2# Brooks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Purha looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Brooks fails to land with a series of punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Some wild striking there from Brooks.
Brooks misses with a straight right. #TD2# Purha feints and as Brooks raises his hands in defense, Purha changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Purha is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Purha working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Purha landing some decent shots from guard. Purha stands and throws Brooks's legs to the side, diving into side control. Purha misses with the ground and pound. Purha scoring with punches and elbows. Purha lands an elbow. #T3# Purha lands a nice forearm strike. Purha looks up at the clock and then as Brooks takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Purha smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Brooks is looking for a sweep. Purha is chipping away with strikes.
Brooks struggling a bit here. Purha has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Purha scoring with punches and elbows. Purha lands an elbow. Purha lands a few punches from side control.#ROC2# Brooks is rocked! Purha in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Brooks looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Purha turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

#R1# Moore ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Purha moves away. It appears Purha was looking to counter with a kick there. Moore stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Purha. Purha takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Moore throws a shot to the body.
Purha pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Moore takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Purha has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Moore fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Purha moves forwards but Moore connects with a nice, crisp jab. Moore has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Moore stuns Purha with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Moore scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Moore misses. Some bone on bone action there as Moore checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Purha throws a leg kick and Moore counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Purha takes a shot right to the bread basket. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Purha drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Purha looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Purha throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Moore counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Moore throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Purha on the side of the head. Purha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Moore.
Purha appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Purha takes a body punch but keeps moving. Purha throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little jabbing left from Moore on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.#T4# Nice straight punches there by Moore. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Moore. Moore connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Purha's hands. Purha looks to throw a body kick enabling Moore to counter with a crisp jab. Moore dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Moore takes a swing at Purha's ribcage but misses. Moore misses with a body shot.
Veke Purha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moore slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Moore connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Purha swings away with a leg kick that misses. Purha shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Moore counters with a left to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angelo Moore dominated that round. The cut man is working on Veke Purha's cut. That's time! Purha's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. #R2# Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Purha. Moore shrugs it off though. Purha ducks right into an uppercut from Moore. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Purha - that will leave a mark!
Purha tries to bum rush Moore with a series of wild strikes but Moore uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Purha moves out of range of the strikes. #T1# Moore fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Purha manages to avoid it. Moore catches Purha with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Purha steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Moore. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Purha might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Purha with a poor takedown and Moore counters with a lovely straight right hand! Moore lands a right hook to the body.

and Purha counters with a nice body kick. Purha on the wrong end of a nice hook. Moore misses with an uppercut. #T2# Donk. Moore catches Purha right on the button with a cross. Purha throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Moore counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Purha takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Purha looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Purha misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Moore counters with a lovely straight right hand!#ROC2# Purha is rocked! Moore cracks Purha with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Purha falls to his knees and Moore doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

#R1# Purha throws a sloppy body shot
#TD# and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown. Purha fights it but they end up in guard. Purha looking to control.
#SUB2# Purha escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard. Gracie is taking a breather. Purha says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.#SUB# Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gracie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Purha defending well though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Purha knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Purha keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1##SUB# Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Purha is trying to get back to full guard. Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Gracie takes Purha's back. #T2# I would not like to be Purha right now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Purha trying to control but not successfully. Gracie is trying to stick to Purha's back but Purha is turning into Gracie. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gracie's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Purha. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gracie trying to control the position.
Gracie is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Purha is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Gracie controlling Purha's posture. #SUB# Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Purha defends it easily.#T3# Purha postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Purha is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Purha stands up over Gracie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. #CUT2# It looks like Ramon Gracie has been cut. My spies in Team Migraine inform me that Purha has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Purha is proving a slippery customer.
Purha keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gracie's head. Gracie seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Purha makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#T4##SUB# Gracie is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Purha has his hands clasped together but Gracie extends and breaks Purha's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gracie.
