Gates has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gates ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gates lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gates avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gates stuffs the takedown attempt from Conan. Conan gets slowly back to his feet.
It seemed like Gates was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Conan or perhaps it was just good defense by Gates, which made it look bad.
As Conan backs off Gates throws a huge counter combo but Conan manages to avoid it all.

Well Gates has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Fiori's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gates under the eye.

Gates takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gates has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.#KD#
Fiori drops Gates with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gates looks back up at him and smiles so Fiori waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed. #ROC#

Fiori lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Gates head around and knocks him out cold! Fiori hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
