Bresnar clobbers Hunt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Bresnar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Donk. Bresnar catches Hunt right on the button with a cross. Bresnar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Hunt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bresnar has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Midnight MMA in the buildup to the fight. Hunt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bresnar misses with a body shot.

After the fight, Fedor Hunt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1# Boudain takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A jab from Boudain finds it's way through Hunt's defenses. Boudain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hunt manages to avoid it. Hunt tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Hunt throws a shot from downtown. Boudain moves away and avoids it. Boudain is looking to counter with a body kick. Hunt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hunt connects with a crisp jab. Hunt connects with a right hand. Boudain shakes it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A swing and a miss from Hunt. Hunt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Boudain momentarily.

The fighters circling - Hunt throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Good leg kick by Hari there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hari tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hunt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hari drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Hari tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunt paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hunt swats away the attempt to clinch by Aristotelis. Hunt drops down looking for a counter takedown but Aristotelis sprawls and moves away. Aristotelis tries to clinch there but Hunt circles away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Newton is not content to let Hunt control the position. Hunt stops Newton from getting back to his feet.
Hunt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Newton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hunt passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Newton! Hunt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Newton is looking to escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Hunt goes for an armbar but Newton turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Newton. #T1# Hunt managing to control the position. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Joyce has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Joyce misses with a jab, cross combination.

Joyce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hunt circles away quickly and effectively. Hunt throws an overhand right that lands on Joyce's shoulder, as Joyce tries to avoid the shot. Nice body punch from Hunt. Joyce swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hunt cracks Joyce with a right hand to the side of the head. A jab from Joyce misses. Joyce uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hunt.
A little jabbing left from Joyce on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Hunt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Joyce moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
