Manning's coach down at Wreckshop was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Manning's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Scott Manning seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tullimies drops Manning with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Manning looks back up at him and smiles so Tullimies waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Tullimies cracks Manning on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Manning falls backwards against the cage. Tullimies follows up with more strikes that drop Manning to his knees. Tullimies keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Manning! This one is all over!

Manning has his takedown stuffed
letting Kalambayo counter with a right hand.
Kalambayo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kalambayo stalks Manning and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Manning's face. Manning staggers backwards, shaken.
Manning shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kalambayo pinned against the cage. Kalambayo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Manning misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kalambayo lands a nice looking body shot.
Kalambayo throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kalambayo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Manning shoots in looking for a takedown. Kalambayo tries to sprawl out of it but Manning keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kalambayo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Manning. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1#

Kalambayo leaves Manning with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Manning fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kalambayo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Manning drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kalambayo sprawls and moves away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kalambayo.
Kalambayo throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Manning crashing down! Manning tries to stagger back to his feet but Kalambayo just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Manning asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
