Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spong walks away with a smile on his face. Jowars gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jowars fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Spong stuffs the takedown attempt from Jowars. Jowars gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hemfsford Jowars. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jowars fails with the takedown and Spong counters with a straight right hand. Jowars throws a head kick but Spong moves out of range.

Spong fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Spong has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Spong lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Jowars tries to clinch but Spong moves out of range. Spong wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Spong fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jowars looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jowars walks into a straight right hand from Spong. Spong lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.#T2# Spong works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Spong tries to avoid it but Jowars manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spong to the ground. Spong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jowars moves in looking to clinch but Spong pushes him off. Jowars closes the distance and clinches up with Spong, looking for a takedown. Jowars pushes Spong against the cage but Spong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jowars tries for a takedown but Spong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jowars takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jowars changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reveal tries to avoid it but Jowars manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reveal to the ground. Reveal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jowars dives in for a single leg takedown but Reveal sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Dash Reveal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hemfsford Jowars. Reveal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hemfsford Jowars seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jowars on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Mercy feints a jab promting Jowars to slip. Mercy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jowars slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.#CUT2# It looks like Hemfsford Jowars has been cut. Mercy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jowarss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Jowars throws a body kick that misses and Mercy counters with a lovely straight right hand! This has been an exciting period of action! A low kick from Jowars misses and Mercy counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mercy slaps away a takedown attempt from Jowars, before circling back to the center of the mat.#T1# Nice jab there from Mercy. Mercy keeps the fight on the outside. Jowars shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mercy sprawls well. Mercy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jowars gets slowly back to his feet. Jowars shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jowars takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jowars shoots and misses letting Mercy counter with a right hand. Mercy has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Mercy cracks the inside of Jowars's front leg. Jowars with a poor takedown and Jowars takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mercy throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Jowars's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mercy dives in looking to finish as Jowars flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mercy's strikes! Mercy is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Jowars's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Jowars was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Jowars fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maximus avoids it really well and circles away. Jowars dives in and grabs Maximus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maximus pushes down on Jowars's head and hops out. Jowars tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Maximus blocks a head kick by Jowars.
Prometheus Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jowars fails with a takedown attempt. Prometheus Maximus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Nice straight punches there by Colt. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Colt. Jowars shoots in and drives through. Colt sprawls well. Colt lands with a right hand. Colt is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jowars throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Colt's waist but Colt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jowars off to one side. Colt swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jowars with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Colt to score with a decent uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Decent striking displayed by Colt there. Colt lands with an overhand left. Jowars closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Jowars shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Colt as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hemfsford Jowars. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice uppercut there from Colt.#T2# Colt jabs. Jowars's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Colt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jowars scrambles back to his feet. Colt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jowars darts in trying to clinch and Colt counters with a straight right hand. Colt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Jowars's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Colt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jowars scrambles back to his feet. Jowars shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #TD2# and Colt counters with a nice double leg into guard. Colt is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Colt postures up in Jowars's guard and throws a big left but Jowars blocks it. Colt controls from within his opponent's guard. #T3# Hammerfist, elbow! yells Colt's corner. There ya go! There ya go! #SUB# Jowars throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Colt chips away with some ground and pound.#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Colt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jowars is keeping the position for now. Colt's corner is telling him to maintain position. Colt is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. #SUB# Colt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
