Munk lands a right hand. Munk misses with a hook from the clinch. Munk is trying to maintain a safe position but Paschal gets an underhook and turns Munk into the ropes. Paschal has Munk pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Munk manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Paschal looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marlin Paschal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Munk can't find room to land a body shot as Paschal controls the action.

We've been told by Carreon's head coaches at Bonsai Club MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Carreon throws a right hand that Paschal ducks under and follows up with a left that Paschal also avoids with ease. Carreon throws a right and a left that both miss. Carreon scores with a one two! Paschal had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #CUT# It looks like Marlin Paschal has been cut. Paschal shoots in for a takedown but Carreon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jagger Carreon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marlin Paschal. Paschal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carreon circles away. Paschal darts in trying to clinch and Paschal takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Paschal tries for a takedown but Carreon circles away easily and Carreon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Paschal looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carreon connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Paschal has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.#T1# Carreon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paschal. Carreon throws a right and a left that both miss. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carreon, as that shot connected.

#R1# Bidam throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Paschal. Bidam throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Paschal is looking to clinch. Bidam is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Paschal walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Bidam misses with a series of wild punches.
Bidam throws a right and a left that Paschal avoids nicely. Paschal takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Nice sprawl there from Bidam as Paschal shoots in. Paschal looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bidam cracks Paschal with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Bidam fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Paschal on the side of the head. Bidam goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.#ROC2# Paschal is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Marlin Paschal has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. No joy there for Bidam, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ankjrll with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #SUB# Paschal is looking for a kimura but Ankjrll is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Paschal to get the leverage. #SUB# Paschal is trying to work for a kimura but Ankjrll is defending well.
Paschal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Paschal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Paschal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Paschal landing punches.
