Fairbanks lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Fairbanks is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kristian pulls him back up using the underhooks. #R1# Horrible takedown attempt by Blye or perhaps it was just good defense by Kristian, which made it look bad. A jab lands there for Kristian. Blye gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily #TD2# and Kristian counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kristian. #SUB# Blye is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kristian is aware though and is defending well.#SUB# Blye is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kristian slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kristian looking to sit in guard and control but Blye gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Blye won't allow Kristian to get back to his feet. #T1# A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kristian holds on and takes a little breather. Gotti eventually gives up the hold. Gotti missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gotti thows a huge punch but Kristian dodges it nicely.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McGee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McGee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A counter left hand to the body from McGee misses its target. Kristian moves out of range of the body kick. A nice inside leg kick there by McGee. That's going to slow Kristian down. Michael Kristian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kristian takes one to the chin there. McGee takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kristian does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. McGee circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gracie with the counter takedown but Kristian avoids it easily. Gracie has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kristian is landing a low percentage of strikes. Kristian lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
