Karel lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Karel has Allan pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allan tries to pull guard but Karel holds him up against the cage and eventually Allan drops back down to his feet.

Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Piet Karel and Damiao Marcos. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Piet Karel! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Damiao Marcos! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Marcos shoots in looking for a takedown. Karel tries to sprawl out of it but Marcos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Karel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Marcos looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Karel (0) vs (2) Marcos Marcos's corner is telling him to maintain position. It looks like Marcos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance...
