We've been hearing reports that Santos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. An inside leg kick lands from Santos. Santos on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Harrington lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Santos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Crunch! But no joy. Santos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Crunch circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santos is looking to land body kicks. Crunch misses with an uppercut. Santos tries to clinch up and Crunch counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Santos is lucky that one didn't land flush. #T1# Santos goes for a double leg but Crunch avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Crunch continues to drive forward. Crunch manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Santos wants to stand but Crunch is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crunch looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
