#R1##CL# Kamiya tries to keep at a distance but Sangchaan has taken the fight into the clinch. Sangchaan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kamiya pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sangchaan pushes Kamiya back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Kamiya throws an elbow that misses.
Sangchaan content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kamiya is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sangchaan is defending well for now.#TD# Sangchaan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Sangchaan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kamiya looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SU# Sangchaan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kamiya, up you get! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good leg kick by Kamiya there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kamiya uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sangchaan has time to react. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Kamiya. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kamiya feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sangchaan's calf.#T1# Kamiya scoring well with a low kick there.

#ROC2# Sangchaan is rocked! Sangchaan gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kamiya gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Sangchaan is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maki Kamiya! A less than humble Maki Kamiya misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Tanaka takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Roldan Sangchaan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanaka takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sangchaan shoots in for a double leg but Tanaka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.#TD# Sangchaan feints and as Tanaka raises his hands in defense, Sangchaan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tanaka keeping moving, preventing Sangchaan from controlling successfully. Sangchaan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #ES2# Tanaka has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sangchaan off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. #T1# Sangchaan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sangchaan is looking to clinch. Sangchaan shoots in but no luck this time. Tanaka displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sangchaan. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roldan Sangchaan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tanaka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
