#R1##CL# Masvidal gets tackled into the cage by Gracie. Gracie maintains the clinch. Gracie jumps guard but Masvidal turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. #TD# Gracie jumps guard.
#SUB# Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Masvidal wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position. #SUB# Masvidal is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gracie has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Masvidal is looking to defend but Gracie has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Masvidal! Gracie pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Masvidal taps out and this one is all over!

#R1# Pacquiao bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.#CL2# Pacquiao has Masvidal up against the cage in a clinch.
Masvidal lands a nice uppercut.#BC# Masvidal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Masvidal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pacquiao. Pacquiao misses with a lunging right hand
and Masvidal counters with a straight right hand. Pacquiao throws a looping overhand right but Masvidal ducks down to avoid it. Pacquiao connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Pacquiao misses with a double jab
and Masvidal counters with a one-two to the body. #ROC# Pacquiao is rocked! Masvidal walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pacquiao moves out of range of the body kick from Masvidal.
Masvidal takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Pacquiao lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

and Masvidal counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pacquiao thinking. Pacquiao scores with a hook. Pacquiao has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Masvidal showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pacquiao.
Masvidal looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Masvidal checks a leg kick. Masvidal takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Pacquiao fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Masvidal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Pacquiao scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Pacquiao cracks Masvidal on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Masvidal falls backwards against the cage. Pacquiao follows up with more strikes that drop Masvidal to his knees. Pacquiao keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Masvidal! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Manny Pacquiao! Manny Pacquiao is the new welterweight champion! Manny Pacquiao bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.

#R1##CL2# Masvidal clinches up with Tomasevic and pushes him back against the cage. Tomasevic letting Masvidal take a breather here. Masvidal lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tomasevic backwards. Tomasevic's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Tomasevic is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Masvidal is keeping busy. Masvidal misses with a punch to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Tomasevic misses with the head strike.
Masvidal lands with a short shot to the head. Masvidal putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Tomasevic in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Tomasevic is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Tomasevic working aggressively here.

#R1# Smith with a jab.#CL2# Masvidal darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage. Still in the clinch, Masvidal scores with a nice short uppercut. Masvidal has Smith pushed against the cage. Smith is trying to pull guard but Masvidal turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.#TD# Smith has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Masvidal uses from the top position. Masvidal tries to stand but Smith is controlling from the bottom. #SUB# Smith is looking to cinch up a triangle. Masvidal throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Smith's body to avoid the submission. Smith has instead reached around Masvidal's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Smith arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

During a confident post fight interview, Rodney Smith thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Nice body punch from Jones. Masvidal controlling the action here for a moment.
Masvidal lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Masvidal has Jones pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Jones is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Masvidal - that's hurt Jones badly! Oh, another knee lands and Jones is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Jones doesn't seem to be complaining.
