We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wilford not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wilford avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ruiz. Ruiz throws an elbow but Wilford slips to the side and avoids it well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wilford managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ruiz.

Ruiz lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Ruiz dodges the punch combination from Magee.
Ruiz is looking to score with low kicks. Magee tries to clinch up. Magee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Magee fails to land with a series of punches.
And Ruiz tries to counter it with a takedown but Magee pushes his down on his head and steps out. Magee keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ruiz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Magee at a distance.
Magee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.#CUT# It looks like Emanuel Ruiz has been cut. Ruiz ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Magee throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Magee connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McStink's guard. McStink knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ruiz on the ground. Ruiz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McStink's head. #SUB2# Ruiz is looking for a kimura but McStink is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ruiz to get the leverage. Ruiz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ruiz content to control rather than advance. Ruiz trying to pass the guard but McStink defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruiz sitting and controlling from the half guard. McStink throws a leg kick which misses Ruiz's front leg but catches the back leg as Ruiz tries to avoid it. Ruiz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. #R1# Lavronenko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ruiz. Lavronenko cracks Ruiz with a right hand to the side of the head. Ruiz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ruiz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ruiz moves to clinch but Lavronenko breaks away and Lavronenko counters with a straight right hand.#CUT# It looks like Emanuel Ruiz has been cut. Lavronenko lands a head shot. Ruiz doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Lavronenko to counter with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab lands there for Lavronenko. and Lavronenko counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Ruiz! He's just covering up as Lavronenko starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
