#R1##CL2# Silva rushes Beach and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Beach is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Beach is looking to break free of the clinch but Silva has double underhooks. Beach tries to break the clinch but Silva is controlling the position. #TD2# Beach is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silva is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Beach to the mat. Beach regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Beach wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Silva manages to pass to side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#REVR# Beach is trying to stand.
#SUB# Beach is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beach is trying to stand back up but Silva is controlling him

Silva moves nicely into side control. Silva just content to control the position. Beach is trying to get back to his feet. The referee asks Silva politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Silva prefers to stall for the moment though. Beach pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#ES# Beach throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Beach darts in looking for a takedown but Silva gets double underhooks and turns Beach into the cage. Beach looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Beach persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing. Beach shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Beach keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Perry Beach. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# Silva moves into the clinch successfully.

Beach changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Beach manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #T3##CL2# Silva moves into the clinch successfully.

Silva controlling from the full mount. Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Beach is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Silva tries to get to full guard but Beach has control of the leg. Silva flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Beach closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away. Horrible takedown attempt by Beach or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva, which made it look bad. #CL2# Silva has Beach up against the cage in a clinch.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#CL2# Silva drives through and clinches with Beach against the cage.

#R1##TD2# Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.#ES# Beach throws Smith to one side and escapes!#TD2# Smith looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Beach!#ES# Beach explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beach shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Despite the aggression on Smith's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Beach fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.#TD2# Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard.#ES# Beach pushes Smith off and scrambles back to his feet.

Booker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Booker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #SU2# Booker stands up from guard. Let's bang! #CL2# Booker clinches up against the cage. Booker has Beach pressed against the cage, preventing Beach from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A short body shot lands from Booker as the two fighters clinch.
