Curran throws a push kick but Mumba slaps the foot to one side.
Curran takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Curran throws a lazy uppercut
and Mumba counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mumba on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Curran. Curran obviously looking to wear him down.
Curran connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mumba misses with a body shot.
Curran throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mumba swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good work by Mumba as he checks the leg kick.
Mumba tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Curran throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mumba sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Curran wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Curran, as that shot connected.

and Mumba counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Curran cracks Mumba with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Curran has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mumba to stand back up!#ROC#

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mumba swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shewmaker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Shewmaker lands a left and a right that send Mumba crashing to the mat, dazed. Shewmaker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC#

It looks like Joseph Mumba has been cut.
Mumba is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Shewmaker Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Mumba is out cold, face down on the mat!

A relieved looking Frank Shewmaker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Dee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mumba shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dee as he avoids it easily.
Mumba misses with a hook
and Dee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dee throws a hook but Mumba blocks it.
Mumba swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Mumba fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dee swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mumba takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Mumba has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Mumba throws a lazy uppercut
and Dee rattles Mumba with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Mumba tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Dee dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Mumba stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bubba Dee!
A less than humble Bubba Dee misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Shewmaker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Shewmaker throws a looping overhand right but Mumba ducks down to avoid it.
Mumba moves out of range as Shewmaker throws a body kick.
Shewmaker misses with a few strikes there.
Mumba throws a shot from downtown. Shewmaker moves away and avoids it.
Shewmaker wants to clinch up but Mumba keeps it at a distance.
Mumba is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Shewmaker.

Shewmaker ducks right into an uppercut from Mumba.

Mumba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shewmaker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
