#CUT# It looks like Dante Fluentez has been cut. Roman scores with a shoulder strike. #BC# Roman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#KD# Roman drops Fluentez with a left and a right! Oh, Fluentez is hurt - Roman dives into side control looking to finish!
#ROC# Fluentez is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Check out the look on Roman's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Fluentez is still in real trouble! Can Roman finish him? Roman takes a little break here. Fluentez wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Roman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fluentez is looking to escape. Roman gets through Fluentez 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roman scores with an uppercut up the middle. Roman looking to throw knees to the head but Fluentez is blocking nicely.

Roman looking to control and managing it successfully. Roman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fluentez can do to turn this around? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Back to the action. And we move into the final round! #R3# Roman jabs at Fluentez 's body. Fluentez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Roman. Fluentez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Roman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Gaudencio Roman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#TD# Roman shoots in and gets a takedown into Fluentez 's guard. Fluentez has momentary wrist control but Roman slips an elbow through the middle. Roman sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a sustained period of stalling by Roman.#T1# Roman tries to free his leg and advance position but Fluentez is retaining full guard. Roman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Roman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gaudencio Roman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Roman continues to hold on tight.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jab, jab by Roman - just one landing. #T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roman throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Fluentez is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Roman closes the distance and clinches up with Fluentez , looking for a takedown. Roman pushes Fluentez against the cage but Fluentez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fluentez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fluentez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roman as he jumps to the side. Fluentez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Roman connects with a combination that backs up Fluentez into the cage. Roman lands a flurry of punches that gets past Fluentez 's guard. Fluentez is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Roman bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

A very excited looking Gaudencio Roman made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
