My spies in Pride inform me that Hashimoto has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Tariaksuq is trying is best to control the position here. Well, if Hashimoto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

#R1##TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Hashimoto. Hashimoto is looking to take a break and control but Campobello is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hashimoto working the body and head with strikes. Hashimoto in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Campobello managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hashimoto.
Campobello manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hashimoto slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hashimoto tries to strike from the bottom.

We've been hearing good reports from Hashimoto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hashimoto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Johnston is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hashimoto is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hashimoto lands a couple of digs.#ROC# Johnston is rocked! Hashimoto sitting in guard here, content to control. Johnston is still in real trouble! Can Hashimoto finish him? A quick step to the side and Allen tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. That kick from Allen tenderised Hashimoto's leg. Hashimoto is trying to keep his angry face on. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hashimoto slips under a jab from Allen.#TD# Allen feints and as Hashimoto raises his hands in defense, Allen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've been hearing that Hashimoto has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
