Herrera pushes Ruiz against the cage but Ruiz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ruiz throws a big counter combination but Herrera scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Herrera looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Herrera misses with a takedown attempt and Ruiz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. A nice inside leg kick there by Ruiz. That's going to slow Herrera down. #CL# Ruiz darts in and clinches Herrera up against the cage.#BC# Ruiz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. No luck with that takedown attempt from Herrera. Ruiz wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Ruiz slaps away a takedown attempt from Herrera, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ruiz finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Herrera shoots in and drives through. Ruiz sprawls well. Oliver Ruiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicky Herrera. Herrera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ruiz's waist but Ruiz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Herrera off to one side. #CL# Ruiz takes the fight into the clinch. Ruiz digs a right hand underneath Herrera's ribcage. Herrera let out a lung full of air as it connected.#TD2# Herrera pulls Ruiz into guard.

Ruiz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ruiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zamana works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. #R1# Ruiz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Turgulan cracks Ruiz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Ruiz takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ruiz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Turgulan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ruiz drops his hands momentarily and Turgulan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Nice jab there from Turgulan. #ROC# Ruiz is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Turgulan lands an uppercut, right on the button! Ruiz tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Bobby McBarz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# Ruiz closes the distance and clinches. Ruiz is pushing McBarz up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Ruiz tries to pull guard but McBarz won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on McBarz's face as he tries to break the clinch. #BC2# McBarz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruiz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
