#R1# Holm fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nakahara looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Holm tries to work over Nakahara's front leg with a kick but Nakahara checks it. Nakahara is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Mark Holm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holm stuns Nakahara with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Nakahara doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Holm scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nice sprawl there from Nakahara as Holm shoots in. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Holm, as that shot connected.
Nakahara is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Holm. Nakahara shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Holm but Holm pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nakahara stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nakahara wants it to stay on the feet.#CL# Holm closes the distance and clinches. This has been an exciting period of action!#BC# Holm breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#T1# Holm lands with a nice combination. Nakahara backs away looking to recover. Holm wants to clinch. Holm fails with an attempt to clinch.
#TD# Holm feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Holm pushing down on Nakahara's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Nakahara keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Nakahara is trying to get back to full guard.#SU# Holm gets to his feet - back to striking we go! #KD# Holm lands a left and a right that send Nakahara crashing to the mat, dazed. Holm thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC# Nakahara is rocked!#CUT# It looks like Shunsuke Nakahara has been cut.#T2# We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Holm shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nakahara sprawls well. Nakahara wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Holm gets slowly back to his feet. Nakahara is still on wobbly legs! Can Holm finish him? That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Holm. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holm dances in with a quick combination. Nakahara is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Holm snaps Nakahara's head back. Nakahara stumbles backwards against the ropes. Holm steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Nakahara's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Nakahara just didn't come prepared.
